Abstract

This dataset included the data used in presenting several methods for assessing and monitoring indicators of integrative forest management (IFM) using remote sensing. This has been done using a combination of field and desk-based feasibility studies focused on the TRANSFORMIT Living Lab model. Remote sensing technologies have been ranked according to their technology readiness level (TRL) to help facilitate evidence-based monitoring of key IFM indicator variables. The indicators explored here include, but are not limited to, those decided through an intensive stakeholder engagement process (D5.2). A systematic review (MS16) was used to confirm the most viable technologies to be taken forward to feasibility studies. These were: Multispectral and hyperspectral satellite imagery (M/HSI), Airborne laser scanning (ALS), Airborne multispectral and hyperspectral imagery (AM/HSI), and Terrestrial laser scanning (TLS).
